The San Antonio American Beauties Pageant is
now taking applications for contestants for the 2008 pageant. The
pageant will be held on July 6th, 2008. Co-emcees
for the 2008 pageant will be Marco Cruz, star of the LATV, and
Elizabeth Aleman, star of Vision Musical.
This pageant is a direct preliminary to The Miss Texas
Pageant which also offers scholarships.

The San Antonio American Beauties Pageant is
a scholarship program whose goal is to instill confidence in the
participants by allowing them to cultivate leadership and their
communication skills, and offering young women the opportunity
to grow personally in poise, goal setting, public speaking, physical
fitness, and self-discipline.
Over $88,000 in scholarships from Our
Lady of the Lake University linked to the Miss Texas
Pageant are available. Scholarships available in each
category:
- Winner: $12,000
- First Runner Up: $10,000
- Second Runner Up: $7,500
Scholarship eligibility is dependent on GPA. To be eligible, recipients
must have at least a 2.5 GPA. More scholarship money may be available
if your GPA is higher than 3.2.
Levels of Competition
- Teen: 13 to 17
- Miss: 18 and above, single
- Ms./Mrs.: anyone married, single, divorced or widowed
